She got her ring!I was at the gym when I got a text message from my future son-in-law. He included a picture of the lovely ring that would symbolize their marriage. He wrote: "Hee hee! Amanda thinks I am at work!" My heart leapt! I was so excited for Amanda! I knew she was so eagerly anticipating receiving this beautiful piece of jewelry.
They went for a hike in Castlewood Canyon where he surprised her with her ring. Afterward, they came by to show me and have a grilled dinner with us.
When they pulled up in the street outside my house, I heard the loud bass bumps, I squealed, "The kids are HERE!" I tore outside and ran to the passenger side of their Dodge Durango. Amanda stepped out and exclaimed, "Look at what I got!" I grabbed her and pulled her close for a bear hug and we both started jumping up and down. I pulled back to see the joy on her face and she was crying great big tears. I was crying great big tears. I said, "I know! I KNOW!" I finally got to really look at the ring. I told her it is GORGEOUS! She wiped a tear from her cheek and she started to tell me the story of how he surprised her with her ring and then gasped, IT WAS PERFECT, MOM!"
What a wonderful, happy day!
