It looks like the ball has been dropped here. I did really well at maintaining this project until things started getting hot and heavy around wedding planning. That's right! I got married. We are happy! And now that life has settled down a bit and we are finding a groove, I think I want to start this project a fourth time. So....as Shakespeare said, "To-morrow and to-morrow and to-morrow..." is yet another day!
I will pick this up again!
Thank you for your continued interest in my 365 project!

Moka Pot
I follow the blog of a swiss artist named Sandra Juto. One of her preferred mediums is painting. She offered a painting in her shop of cupcakes that I admired for a very long time. I always knew that someday, i would own one of those prints. Sandra recently announced a sale she was having and i couln't resist! I bought the cupcakes print and one of a series of little moka pots like the one featured in this image. I'd strolled through one of my favorite antiques shops and found this little treasure and knew it was meant just for me. Now, once I have my Sandra art framed, my plan is to display this next to it.

A Flying Smiling Pig...
...is definitely a good thing! We pulled into the parking space in the lot at the grocery store. I looked up and saw this little guy just sitting there smiling at me with his big Tinkerbell wings and I literally giggled out loud. I hopped out of the truck, walked over to the pig, poised my camera and snapped a few shots. I turned around to see someone getting into their car that was parked nearby. They smiled at me. Hey! Some things are just too good to pass up!

Clematis
For several years, I have tried to grow Clematis. The deer wander through my yards and munch their favorite things down to the ground. I thought this plant was long gone. But when i was preparing the beds early in the spring, I saw that it had sprouted. I was so pleasantly surprised! I didn't hold much hope for it, tho, as I was certain it would become a midnight snack for some big game. But alas! This year I finally got to see the fruits of my labor! And it is BEAUTIFUL!

The Flood of 2010
It rained today. It rained a LOT. In fact the weather service called it torrential rains. However, the weather service did not warn for flash flooding until there was a lot of rushing water in the gully behind our house. In the almost twenty-one years I have lived in this house, I have never seen water collect in this flood control like this.

Tiny Bee
The sunlight was so beautiful for this mini shoot in my backyard. I was out there enjoying the light when I saw this little patch of chamomile that grows. i started snapping images of the tiny flowers. Then, I saw this little tiny bee hard at work doing his little bee job. I think he makes the image a little more interesting.

So High I Can Touch The Sky
Kaitlyn was sad today. I knew she could use a pick-me-up. I went to the store and bought two cans of silly string. One was yellow; one was pink. We drove through the drive-thru at Sonic and we ordered two big, yummy drinks and headed over to the park. I told Kaitlyn that she needed to get out of the car. She of course asked, "Why?" I said "I need to do something....come on!" She got out of the car and I sprayed her with the yellow string. She squealed! Then I handed her the can of pink string so she would be armed, too.
She smiled and she laughed! My plan worked.

Summer Escape
The boys complained that they were bored. So I loaded up all the supplies we needed for a picnic and headed into Denver and spread out our red, white and blue quilts in City Park downtown Denver. We munched on lunch from Kentucky Fried Chicken and played catch, had a silly string fight, blew bubbles and just enjoyed each other's company. We walked to the lake, but had to leave because an afternoon thunderstorm blew in wreaked havoc! It was a great afternoon.

He actually boarded the plane today. He actually, really, left.
There sure are a lot of "See ya laters" in military life.
