Kaitie's new beau surprised her with this lovely rose before their dinner date. It was insanely sweet and even a little romantic. It's just beautiful!

Chillaxxin'
I understand that wine connoisseurs may select a bottle of wine for its vintage, or its dryness or it land of origin. Me? Well, I buy a bottle of wine for its label. Well, I am somewhat selective. I know I like white wines. The tannins in the red wines give me hellacious headaches.
The other day, I went into the liquor store to treat myself to a bottle and I stalked the aisle for about ten minutes. I saw lovely labels that looked as though they were a watercolor painting, some that were very simple, some that were over-the-top vivid and I had made a selection when I spied this bottle. First the name caught my eye and I giggled about that, then I saw the cutest hippo in the upper lefthand corner. Gosh! He was cute! So I brought him home.
I uncorked the bottle and slid a movie into the dvd player. It was a nice and relaxing evening. It was.....chillaxin'!

This is my pink "Just Enough Ruffles Scarf" that I finished knitting a couple of weeks ago. I finally got my vintage dress form. She looks good. I saw another one almost identical to this one. It still had the sticker on it indicating it was sold through Sears Roebuck & Co. in the 1950's. I need to find a name for her. I was thinking I'd call her LuLu.

It arrived today via FedEx. Even more beautiful than what I remembered when I found it at the jewelry store.
I strolled into the jewelry store that day for giggles and grins. There were several people crowded around the jewlery cases. I wanted to just peek at the bridal jewelry so I started at the far end. One of the store's sales associates came right over to me and asked if she could get anything out of the case for me. I looked into the display...and there it was. EXACTLY the ring I'd imagined. A princess cut center stone flanked by sapphires.
I pointed to the ring under the glass. Renee unlecked the case and pulled the ring out and placed it in my reach. I took it from the display mount and placed it on my finger. It was a PERFECT fit. I just knew it was my ring. .... and now it really is!
